It all started in Dorado Gardens, Lumberton NJ with a Windows Millennium Compaq Desktop using Hammer Head and switching to FL Studio. Over the years I have developed my skills learning from the greats and obtaining a B.S. at Middle Tennessee State University in Audio Technology. My influences come from Mo Fia (William my cousin), Just Blaze, Cardiak Flatline, Swizz Beats, Timberland, Pharrell, and more. A lot of inspiration comes from the kids that I teach through Southern Word (Southernword.org).
I've had the honor to lead poetry and production workshops at:
Lead Academy Middle School
Lead Academy High School
Jere Baxter Middle School
Cameron Middle School
Oakland High School
Production teacher in cohort with Warner Brothers @ Pearl Cohn High SchoolCentral Magnet Middle School
Nashville Public Library
Etc.
The term "Reggaerica" sprouts from a conversation my cousin Mo Fia (William) and I had about every ethnic country having their own form of reggae yet America not have its own. We tried mixing the two words together:
Reggaeca
Regamerica
Amerireggae
Finally, Will said, "Reggaerica" and from then the name was born. I use this as a basis for the sound I produce and you can easily hear the influences from American and Reggae music.
